Malnutrition Is result of tremendous increase in India’s population in last decades and modern life style. This is is becoming big problem in cities due to fast life as well as in rural areas, particularly Adivasi Padas due to lack of prosperity and education and poor infrastructure. Adequate Nutrition is essential for maintaining proper health. There are two types of malnutrition – First is under nutrition refers to deficiencies of minerals, proteins and other essential nutrients. People are easy target of infectious diseases due to poor immune power of body. Second is over nutrition refers to excess intake of food and proteins. People face problems of obesity and associated risks of non-communicable diseases.
Health is the first right of the citizen. 'Health is Real Wealth!'. Children are the future of a country. In such situation, whole world is looking at Spirulina – water weed which can be easily grown in all types of water, as a source of proteins, minerals and other nutrients. Spirulina (Water Weed) has changed the lives of women, children and their families.
We have started project called "A Movement that will defeat Malnutrition" in Palghar District and adjacent regions. We will expand our efforts gradually for entire Maharashtra. This is very big project and huge responsibility on all of us. It is common that whenever whole society participate willingly and every member of society try to contribute in the best possible ways, task becomes easier. Everyone support is the most crucial.
